This paper covers the literature published through June 2007 on endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) and double-balloon enteroscopy (DBE) for small bowel diseases. Only three papers were published on the topic of EUS with DBE. We review the procedure and the collective experience with EUS for diagnosis of small bowel diseases with DBE. This technique offers high-resolution cross-sectional images of small bowel lesions and may contribute to the accurate diagnosis of small bowel diseases.

Keywords: endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS), double balloon enteroscopy (DBE), small bowel disease
